How game material is used here

This differs by section, because each publisher's terms differ. What is written below for one game is not a claim about any other.

Sections that use no publisher material at all

The Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX sections contain no screenshots, artwork, audio or other material belonging to the publisher — not in articles, not as page artwork, not in link previews.

What those pages contain is factual information about the games — locations, statistics, sequences of events, the order things happen in — written up here in our own words. Facts about a work are not themselves anyone's property; the writing about them is ours. No publisher permission is needed for that, and none is claimed.

Sections that use screenshots and artwork

The World of Warcraft: Forever and World of Warcraft sections include screenshots and artwork to illustrate original writing. Every image carries a visible credit linking back to its source, and material taken from a publisher's own press centre is recorded as such.

Publisher logos and wordmarks are not used anywhere. There are no wallpaper or screenshot galleries — images accompany articles rather than being redistributed as assets in their own right.

Videos are embedded from the rights holder's own uploads through the hosting platform's player, and nothing loads from a third party until you click it.

Original writing, commentary, analysis, and the site's code are the work of EliteGrind Lab.
