Editorial policy

Last updated 21 September 2026

This page describes the rules everything on this site is written under. They are enforced by the site's build process, not just by good intentions — an article with no sources will not publish.

Every claim is sourced

Each entry lists its sources, linked, in the sidebar. This is a technical requirement: the content schema rejects any entry with an empty source list and the site fails to build. There is no way to publish an unsourced claim here without deliberately dismantling the site to do it.

Confirmed and unconfirmed are marked, always

Every entry carries a visible badge:

  • Confirmed — sourced to an official statement from the developer or publisher, a patch note, or a formal corporate disclosure.
  • Unconfirmed — a rumour, a leak, a community inference, or reporting that has not been officially acknowledged. These entries also carry a notice at the top of the article.

The badge is a required field. An entry cannot be published without the author explicitly deciding which it is. This exists because the single most common failure in pre-release coverage is letting the two blur together.

Dates are load-bearing

Pre-release coverage is dated, and the date is displayed prominently, because it expires. A game in testing reworks its systems between builds. An article describing how something worked two patches ago is a historical record, not advice, and it is presented that way.

No guides before release

This site does not publish guides for games that have not shipped. Not thin ones, not placeholder ones, not "what we expect" ones. Until a game is playable there is nothing to write a guide about, and pretending otherwise is how a site fills up with content nobody can use.

Each game section has a guide area that stays deliberately empty until that game actually releases. Like the sourcing rule, this is enforced by the build.

Nothing is deleted

When a game launches, the pre-release entries are not removed or redirected away. They are marked as archived, given a notice explaining that they were written before launch, and where relevant linked forward to the current page. They stay at their original addresses permanently.

Quietly deleting your old predictions is a way of never being accountable for them. The archive is the receipt.

Living pages

Each game has one page that is maintained in place rather than replaced — a running summary of what is actually confirmed. It carries a visible edit log showing what changed and when, so you can see how the picture developed instead of taking the current version on trust.

Independence

No affiliate links. No paid placements, sponsored articles, or gifted coverage. No products for sale. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page and on the affected articles before it happens, not after.

Early access to a game, where it happens, is disclosed in the article that uses it.

Mistakes

See the corrections policy. Short version: they get fixed visibly, with a note saying what was wrong.
