Chromie Time: Wrath of the Lich King

Northrend, and the Lich King waiting at the top of it. Fall of the Lich King is the campaign most players remember fondly. It is also the one where the first decision is made before you ever reach the continent.
How it starts
Chromie gives you Wrath of the Lich King: To Northrend! and you choose your landing:
- Borean Tundra: Alliance by ship from Stormwind Harbor, Horde by zeppelin from Orgrimmar.
- Howling Fjord: Alliance by ship from the Wetlands, Horde by zeppelin from Tirisfal Glades.
As with the other old campaigns, the launch quest has paid no experience or gold since patch 9.0.1.
Where it takes you
After the landing zone:
- Dragonblight
- Grizzly Hills
- Zul’Drak
- Sholazar Basin
- The Storm Peaks
- Icecrown
With the landing zone, those make the eight that Loremaster of Northrend counts. Crystalsong Forest and Wintergrasp are in Northrend but are not part of it. Beyond the choice of landing, no source sets a fixed order.
Northrend’s world bosses scale to your level while you are in the campaign.
Dungeons you can queue for
While you are in the campaign, the group finder offers this expansion’s dungeons. Raids and Mythic dungeons are off limits until you leave Chromie Time, and some Heroics refuse entry below a set level.

What carries across your account
- Wrath reputations are not warband-wide. No announcement covers them yet.
- Loremaster of Northrend counts towards The Loremaster, whichever character earns it.
What this campaign puts in reach
Counting…
Counts are a floor, not a total. The expansion is not recorded for every collectible, and many source lines name a boss without a zone. "Missing" uses what you have ticked on the mounts, pets and toys pages, in this browser.
Where the sources disagree
- How far Chromie Time goes. Everyone agrees you can start a campaign up to about level 68–69. Whether you then stay scaled to 80 or are moved on at 70 is disputed: the wiki says 80, two levelling guides say 70, and there is no Blizzard patch note either way.
