World of Warcraft: Forever › Legacy
The three Legacy trees
Updated 2026-09-17 · checked against Beta build 1.60.1.69893
Everything below is read out of the beta client, not transcribed from a screenshot. Values are per rank, taken from the scaling curve each talent actually uses, so the last column is what the talent is worth fully invested.
Legacy is three trees of nine nodes each. You get 16 points to spend.

Three things this settles
Reinforce is 8% a rank, not 6%. Two sites published the same build with different numbers. The curve reads −8, −16, −24, −32, −40. The 8% source was right.
All five contested talents are real. Bartering, Thrill of Adventure, High Alert, Diplomat and The Quick and the Dead all exist in the client. The outlet carrying them had them right; the two that omitted them had a gap, not a correction.
Gating is by points spent, not by node. The client holds exactly six unlock conditions for these trees — two per tree — and each is a threshold on Legacy points spent in that tree: 5 and 10. Nodes do not chain off one another. Two hands-on reports disagreed about this; neither was describing node prerequisites, because there aren’t any.
Seven talents nobody has published
Dedicated Study, Performance Bonus, Luremaster, Frequent Flier, Field Medicine, Gourmand and For Great Honor appear in no coverage we can find. Two of them matter more than their tooltips suggest.
Dedicated Study is worded as a check against a ceiling: it raises your lowest tradeskill “if you have already reached 300 skill in your two current Primary Tradeskills and all three” secondaries. That is the client confirming 300 is still the cap, and confirming the shape — two primaries, three secondaries.
Performance Bonus refers to turning in crates to the Azeroth Commerce Authority or Durotar Supply and Logistics for a currency called Merchant’s Favor. Two factions, a turn-in loop and a currency, none of which has been mentioned anywhere. There is a whole system attached to a single Legacy talent’s tooltip.
The trees are about a fifth unwritten
Each tree carries two nodes with no name and no effect, all three pairs pointing at the same placeholder whose description reads, in full:
To be added in a future update.
Six of twenty-seven nodes. Any planner built today — ours included — has to leave six holes in it, and any guide presenting the trees as complete is wrong about the shape of the decision, not just the details.
Talented is much weaker than it has been reported
This is the correction that matters most, and we had it wrong too.
You gain talent points every level starting at level 8 instead of starting at level 10, but you still may not have more than 51 total talent points.
It does not grant extra talent points. It grants them two levels earlier, and the 51-point ceiling is untouched — the client stores that cap as its own currency maximum, so it is not a tooltip formality. You are two points ahead through the middle of levelling and exactly level by the end.
That is a levelling-pace talent, not a power talent, and the distinction changes what the Adventure tree is for.
What is still unknown
- Whether the two blank nodes per tree arrive before 4 November or later.
- Respec. No cost, no cooldown, nothing in the client we can point at.
- Whether the 16-point pool is a shared balance or a shared ceiling across alts. Still needs two characters and playing.
- What Scarce materials are, as a distinct rarity tier.
- Everything about the Azeroth Commerce Authority and Durotar Supply and Logistics beyond the sentence above.
