AION 2 Assassin starter builds: skill points, Daevanion boards and stigmas for DPS, tank, balanced and PvP
Updated 2026-10-11 · checked against Global launch (client 2.0.5.0)
Every Assassin skill starts at level 1, and everyone gets the same skills. What makes a build is where the skill points, board points and stigma points go. Pick a play style and your level, and this spends them for you, skill by skill, with what each point buys. The Assassin’s skills, boards and stigma skills are on the Assassin page.
Not a meta build. These are rough starting points worked out from the skills' own numbers and a set of stated assumptions (open them at the bottom). They ignore rotations, combos and how fights actually play out. Try one if you want a place to start, then adjust. Skill resets are free.
These pages are a work in progress and will be updated as the game and the builds are tested. Have an idea or a correction? Email us from the contact page.
Levelling gives you 203 skill points and 136 board points by level 45. The rest comes from Wisdom Stones and Daevanion Crystals: one of each from every Regional quest and from Exploration rewards (sealed dungeons and Balaur outposts), and crystals from the Nightmare and Festa coin shops. Levelling also gives 29 Stigma Shard Points; each Stigma Shard adds 1, from the Abyss, Nightmare, Arena, Festa and Battlefield coin shops and Ascension rewards. Put in your own totals.
Where the skill points go
Grey pip: level 1, which every skill starts at. Gold: levels bought with skill points. "+2 board" adds the levels from the starter boards below. Show opens the skill's description at that level.

The plan level by level
One character followed from level 1: each column keeps everything bought before it and only adds the points gained since. Skill-point levels, with board levels in small type; stigma rows show the stigma's own level.
Assumptions and scoring
- Damage is damage per second from every skill used on cooldown, basic attacks filling the time between, damage over time and the passive procs. The Attack % of each skill never changes with level; points only raise the flat part, so higher Attack makes points in damage skills worth less next to % passives.
- Conditional skills (those that need a knocked-down, stunned or staggered target, a charge, or a follow-up) count at the "usable %" above. Passive effects that only trigger sometimes (on Block, when struck, for a few seconds after a hit) count at part strength; effects that need you to be crowd-controlled or below half HP count at 15%.
- Survival is effective HP (HP, Max HP %, Damage Tolerance, Defense, Critical Hit Resist against incoming crits) plus the healing and shields it gives over a 10 second window. Healer heals count here. Enemy debuffs count as your damage (lower enemy tolerance or Defense) or your survival (lower enemy damage).
- PvP uses the PvP Damage Boost and PvP Damage Tolerance values and adds Status Effect Resist and crowd-control chances.
- Points are spent one step at a time where they add the most per point, looking up to three levels ahead so the 2 and 4 point steps are judged fairly. Levels unlock at set character levels. The plan follows one character from level 1 and never takes a point back: each level spends only the points gained that level. Skill points from levelling reach 203 by level 45; board points 136 (4 a level from 12). Your Wisdom Stone and crystal totals are spread evenly over the levels up to the level you set.
- Boards are bought outward from the centre, one connected node at a time, by the cheapest path to whichever node adds the most per point. Skill nodes add +1 level; stat nodes add Attack, Critical Hit, HP, Defense and the % nodes. Each level, skill points are spent first, then board points, so each sees the other.
- Gear skill lines are random, so they are not planned. Spirits are counted once per summon cooldown, which undersells summons. The Azphel board is not part of these plans yet.
- Stigmas fill their slots as they open (levels 22, 27, 32 and 37) and as points arrive; levelling gives the first point at 23. Each new slot takes the stigma that adds the most per point, judged up to level 5, then points go one step at a time where they add the most, as skill points do. A stigma is never swapped out once slotted. Stigmas are scored with the same numbers as board skills, so ones whose value is mostly utility (resurrection, a few seconds of immunity, Evasion, crowd control in PvE) score low; swap one in if your group needs it. Your Stigma Shard total is spread evenly from level 22 up to the level you set.
