AION 2 wing enhancement: not in the game yet, and what the client says it will cost

Updated 2026-10-11 · checked against Global launch (client 2.0.5.0)

Wings cannot be enhanced yet. There is no enhance option on any pair in the global service. Everything below comes from the game client’s own tables, so it is what enhancement will cost and do if NC switches it on as it stands. We will update this page when it arrives.

For now, more wings is how you raise flight power. Every pair’s Owned Effect counts whether you wear it or not, and they add up, so each new pair you collect adds its Flight Power (and any stats) to your total.

The client sets wing enhancement up to take a pair from +0 to +10 with Kina, Enhance Stones and Sync Stones. The part worth knowing before it lands is what it raises: only the wings’ Owned Effect — the bonus you keep for having the pair in your collection — and never the Equipped Effect you get from wearing them.

The short version, from the client data:

          • Rare and Epic wings never fail a step. Taking a Rare pair to +10 would cost about 3.5 million Kina, 34 Sync Stones and 13,440 Enhance Stones; an Epic pair about 6 million Kina, 53 Sync Stones and 23,040 Enhance Stones.
          • Unique wings can fail from +4 onwards, down to a 30% chance at +10, and on average cost about twice as much — for nothing but extra flight power.
          • When it arrives, enhance the cheap wings with a hidden stat first, the Uniques last.
          • Until then, raise flight power by collecting more pairs of wings, and spend Enhance Stones and Sync Stones on gear.

Which wings it will apply to

Wings have their own window: Alt + C by default. (Alt + F is Essence Extraction, the gathering window.) The window becomes available with the level 5 story quest that gives your first pair — The Power in the Lake for the Elyos, The Being Beneath the Lake for the Asmodians.

In the client, the pair you start with, the Common Lesser Daeva Wings, has no enhancement levels at all, and neither does any Special pair. Enhancement is set up only for Rare wings and better — the first most players get are the Intermediate Daeva Wings from ascending and the Aullaeu Wings from a level 30 quest. Each attempt is set to spend Kina, Sync Stones (Unique) and Enhance Stones together, with an optional +10% boost on Unique wings from +4.

The Wings window: a list of wings on the left with locked pairs greyed out, a Daeva wearing the white Lesser Daeva Wings in the middle, and on the right the Wings Info, Source and All Applied Effects tabs with the Equipped Effect (HP 200) and Owned Effect (Flight Power 2000, HP 50).
The Wings window (Alt + C). Every pair in the game is listed, locked ones greyed out; the right panel splits the selected pair into Equipped Effect and Owned Effect. No pair can be enhanced yet. Image: EliteGrind Lab (in-game screenshot, AION 2 © NC)

          What it will spend

          Kina Everything.
Enhance Stone Quests, dungeons, field events, achievements, and Substance Morph of spare sealed wings. Details below.
Sync Stone (Unique) Substance Morph of a Unique Gear Change Voucher from the Expedition dungeons, or of a spare Unique gear piece.

          What enhancement will improve

Every pair of wings with stats has two blocks of them, and the game’s own wing text labels both:

          • Equipped Effect — on only while you wear that pair. It is the large block (Boss Damage Boost, Attack Bonus, Defense Bonus, Cooldown Reduction and so on), and enhancement will not change it. Nightmare Wings carry +3.5% Boss Damage Boost while worn at +0 and at +10 alike.
          • Owned Effect — on from the moment the pair is in your collection, whether you wear it or not, and it counts for every pair you own. It always includes Flight Power, how long you can stay in the air. This is the block enhancement will raise.

Each enhancement step is set to add +10 Flight Power on every grade, so +10 is +100 Flight Power over +0. Most Rare and Epic pairs also carry a hidden Owned stat: it is zero at +0, appears at +1 and climbs to its maximum at +10 — +500 HP on the Intermediate Daeva Wings, +100 Critical Hit Resist on the Superior Daeva Wings, +3% Incoming Heal on the Glorious Wings. Unique wings have no hidden stat: their whole gain from +0 to +10 is the 100 Flight Power.

Each wing’s page shows its Owned Effect at every level the client lists; the full wing list has both effects side by side.

          Enhancement costs and success rates

From the client tables; NC can change them before the system goes live. One row is one attempt. Rare and Epic wings succeed on every step. Unique wings succeed every time to +3, then 90%, 80%, 50%, 50%, 50%, 40% and 30%; from +4 you can pay the boost column to add 10% to that attempt.

“Average to reach +10” is what a Unique pair costs at the listed rates without boosts, assuming a failed attempt spends its materials and keeps the level — roughly 19.6 million Kina, 160 Sync Stones and 77,000 Enhance Stones, against 9.9 million, 81 and 38,400 if every attempt landed. Paying for the boost on the 30–50% steps cuts the misses but raises the cost of every attempt; on Unique wings that only ever buy Flight Power, it is rarely worth it.

Which wings to enhance first, when it arrives

Owned Effects stack across your whole collection, so the question is never “which pair do I wear” but which steps buy the most permanent stats for the least. Rare is the cheapest grade, Unique the most expensive, and only Rare and Epic pairs gain anything besides Flight Power.

Unique costs (~) are the average at the base success rates, without boosts.

The order that follows from the table:

          1. Intermediate Daeva Wings to +10. The cheapest table in the game and the biggest hidden stat: +500 HP for every Daeva who ascends.
          2. The Epic pairs whose hidden stat fits you. Superior Daeva (+100 Critical Hit Resist), Conqueror (+100 Evasion), Sealing (+100 Block), Spirit (+300 PvE Defense), Glorious (+3% Incoming Heal), Odyle (+3% Regeneration). Every one of them is guaranteed.
          3. The small Rare pairs — Aullaeu and Violet Butterfly add +50 Natural HP Regen each on top of the Flight Power.
          4. Unique wings last, and only for Flight Power. Their value is in the Equipped Effect of the one pair you wear, which enhancement does not touch.

Flight power adds up across the collection: every pair you own at +10 is 100 more Flight Power than the same pair at +0, so a long list of cheap +10 wings does more for your time in the air than one expensive Unique.

          Where to farm the materials

Enhance Stones come from almost everywhere — the Enhance Stones guide ranks every source by what it pays in a week. The ones worth planning around:

Sync Stones (Unique) are the bottleneck on every grade: 34 for a Rare pair, 53 for an Epic, 81 or more for a Unique. They come from Substance Morph (Gear › Growth Materials) of a Unique Gear Change Voucher (Gear Change Voucher: Krao Cave and its siblings from the other Expedition dungeons), one voucher per stone, or of any spare Unique gear piece. The global Daeva Pass does not carry them. The same stones are spent on Soul Binding, so wings and gear compete for them.

The wings themselves. The six Expedition wings are Substance Morph (Wings tab) of their sealed copy plus 10 Radiant Odyle; Sealing and Glorious Wings take 70 Sealed Wing Featherdown and 10 Pure Odyle. Fairy’s Dream, Odyle and Blue Butterfly Wings come out of the Poko’s Skin Bundles that gathering turns up — the gathering guide has every Odyle node by zone.

What to do until it arrives

          • Spend Enhance Stones and Sync Stones on gear. Wings cannot take them yet, and Soul Binding and gear enhancement can.
          • Collect more pairs of wings. This is the only way to raise flight power right now: the Owned Effect of every pair you own counts at +0 and they add up, so each new pair is more Flight Power and stats today. The full wing list shows where each pair comes from.
          • Do not expect the worn stats to grow later. When enhancement comes, the client has it raising the Owned Effect only. A +10 Nightmare pair would hit bosses exactly as hard as a +0 one; it would just fly longer.
          • Morph spare sealed wings into stones. A second copy of a pair you own does nothing; as Enhance Stones it is 10,000, and those work on gear now.

          Our read

For now, the way to more flight power is more wings, not better wings. When wing enhancement goes live, treat it as a stat collection, not an upgrade to the pair on your back: take the Rare and Epic pairs you own to +10 as the Sync Stones allow, starting with the Intermediate Daeva Wings, and leave the Uniques at +0 until there is nothing cheaper left.
