          AION 2

          AION 2 dungeons and raids

Updated 2026-10-09 · checked against Global launch (client 2.0.5.0)

A lone Daeva faces a towering boss with blazing red wings of flame in a molten hall, a beam of light cutting across the floor.
          Image: NC

AION 2 launches with more than two hundred dungeons, and NC describe its whole PvE design in one line: it is about mastering mechanics, movement and teamwork. They come in three sizes — solo, party and raid — and each size has more than one format with a different job.

          How big is a party?

NC’s own materials did not agree before launch: the fact sheet said four-player dungeons and eight-player raids, the Steam page five and ten. The game settles it. Expeditions and Transcendence dungeons take up to five players, and Sanctuary raids take ten. Some Expeditions let you in solo; others need at least two.

          Solo

          • Ascension Trials: six of them, fought alone at up to seven difficulties, with 3 entries a week. They pay by score, mostly in Enhance Stones.
          • Sealed dungeons — short instanced dungeons with a puzzle and one boss, and a steady source of Daevanion points.
          • Nightmare: a solo boss gauntlet, seven bosses of ten levels each in Season 1, 2 attempts a day, with its own currency and shop.

          Party

          • Expeditions: the standard group dungeons, and the main source of weapons, armour and accessories. Each has two modes. Exploration is the easier one, with 7 rewards a week. Conquest is the full version, with 2 rewards a day that bank up to 14, and a better cube.
          • Transcendence: harder group dungeons in four tiers, each tier gated by item level, and the source of Arcana. Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis are open at launch.

          Odyle Energy and the cube

Bosses in group content drop little themselves. After each boss an Odyle Energy cube appears, and opening it is where the loot comes from: it costs 20 to 40 Odyle Energy on Exploration and 40 on Conquest, Transcendence and the raids. You hold up to 560 Odyle Energy (840 with the subscription), and it refills by 15 every three hours.

Each cube also counts toward a guaranteed reward: you pick one item from a short list (the dungeon’s accessories, a weapon, a gear voucher) and it is yours after a set number of cube rewards, 14 on most Conquest runs. Every dungeon page lists the cube’s contents with the chance of each item, and the guaranteed list.

          Raids

          • Sanctuary: the raid tier for ten players. Abyssal Forge: Ludra is open at launch, with 4 attempts and 1 final-boss kill a week.

Entry across all of these is gated by item level and combat power, so the Gear hub is effectively the requirements list for this one.

          Every dungeon with a page

Each dungeon below has its own page: its modes, group size and item level, the bosses, every cube reward with its chance, the entry and reward limits, and the titles it gives, with a tick for each. A few dungeons marked not open at launch are in the game with their rewards already set; their pages show what they hold. New ones get their pages as they open. The 147 short sealed dungeons are on one list of their own.

          Our read

The formats map cleanly onto the upgrade systems, which makes the weekly plan simpler than the dungeon count suggests. Solo content feeds Daevanion, Expeditions feed gear, Transcendence feeds Arcana, and Sanctuary is where the best of it comes together. Two hundred dungeons sounds like a lot to learn; four formats and what each one pays is the part that matters.
