AION 2 gathering guide: where to farm every material, zone by zone
Updated 2026-10-08 · checked against Global launch (client 2.0.5.0)
Every gathering node in AION 2’s open world, by material. For each one: how
many nodes there are, which areas of each zone hold the most of them, and a map
with every node marked. Click any map to open that zone’s interactive map with
the same nodes highlighted.
Two things to know before you pick a spot:
A node is the same node everywhere. A Ruby deposit in a level-49 area of
Eltnen gives exactly what one in a level-19 area of Verteron gives. The grade
you pull — plain, Fine, Pure or Radiant — comes from your Essence
Extraction skills, not the zone. So farm where it is quiet and safe.
Odyle turns into everything else. Substance Morph converts one Odyle into
one of any other gathered material at the same grade — a Radiant Odyle
becomes a Radiant Ruby Gemstone or a Radiant Orichalcum Ore. Odyle has the most
nodes of anything in the game, so it is the material to farm when you are not
sure what you need. More below.
Every material at a glance
The busiest single area for each faction. Elyos gather in Verteron and Eltnen,
Asmodians in Altgard and Morheim; Odyle also grows in Chaotic Lower Reshanta, in
the Abyss, for both factions.
Ores, gems, logs and Odyle come in four grades — plain, Fine, Pure and
Radiant — and herbs in two (plain and Fresh). The higher grades are not
separate nodes: any successful pull can turn one up. What raises the chance is
the Appraiser skill at the end of each specialty row in Essence Extraction
(Alt + F):

Each row is bought in order — Seeker, then Plentiful Harvest, then Appraiser —
with specialty points, and levels 2 and 3 of the last two only open from
Essence Extraction level 51. Specialty points are scarce: 6 by level 50 and 14
by level 100, while maxing one row takes 7. Most players can fully specialise
two material types, so pick the two you actually use.
The best recipes want the top grade — Radiant Odyle appears in 190 recipes
across both factions, Radiant Orichalcum Ore in 120 — which is why Appraiser in your main
row is worth more than Seeker in every row.
Odyle has more nodes than any other material — over 2,300 across Verteron,
Eltnen, Altgard, Morheim and Chaotic Lower Reshanta — and it hangs in the air,
so you gather it in flight without landing. That alone would make it the
best thing to farm. What makes it essential is Substance Morph: under
Gatherable Material each Odyle converts 1:1 into the matching grade of
another material, at 100% success.

The morphed materials are bound, so they are for your own crafting, not for
selling. Radiant Odyle is also what turns the sealed Expedition wings into
wearable ones — 10 per pair — see
where to farm the materials.
Aria comes from Aria nodes — 241 of them across 2 zones. A successful pull can turn up Fresh Aria instead; the Herb Appraiser skill raises the chance. The dots on each map are every node in that zone.
Azpha comes from Azpha nodes — 222 of them across 2 zones. A successful pull can turn up Fresh Azpha instead; the Herb Appraiser skill raises the chance. The dots on each map are every node in that zone.
Calendula comes from Calendula nodes — 169 of them across 2 zones. A successful pull can turn up Fresh Calendula instead; the Herb Appraiser skill raises the chance. The dots on each map are every node in that zone.
Targena comes from Targena nodes — 184 of them across 2 zones. A successful pull can turn up Fresh Targena instead; the Herb Appraiser skill raises the chance. The dots on each map are every node in that zone.
Asvata Log comes from Asvata nodes — 226 of them across 2 zones. A successful pull can turn up Fine Asvata Log, Pure Asvata Log or Radiant Asvata Log instead; the Log Appraiser skill raises the chance. The dots on each map are every node in that zone.
Five per faction, for Cooking. Ingredients have no higher
grades: their Appraiser skill gives a chance of a bigger haul instead (three
instead of one), and Plentiful Harvest still doubles them.
Put your first specialty points into Odyle — Seeker, Plentiful Harvest,
then Appraiser — and farm it in flight in the quietest low-level area of your
zone. Everything else on this page can be made from it in Substance Morph at
the same grade, and the Radiant pulls are what the best recipes and the
Expedition wings ask for. Specialise a second row only for the material you use
by the stack.
