AION 2 skins — every skin, the collection tracks and how to get them

Updated 2026-10-10 · checked against Global launch (client 2.0.5.0)

A skin changes how a piece of gear looks. In AION 2 it also does something most games’ skins don’t: every skin you collect feeds a collection track for its slot, and those tracks add damage and defence. That makes skins a progression system next to pets and titles, not just wardrobe.

          Collection tracks

There is one track per slot, 17 at launch: each of the eight weapon types, the seven armour pieces, and the necklace and earring. The game’s own rules:

          • You gain Collection Points the first time you get a skin. Getting the same skin again adds nothing.
          • Every point on a track adds +0.1% to that slot’s stat: weapon tracks add damage with that weapon, armour tracks add that piece’s defence, and the necklace and earring tracks add both. A track runs to 500 points.
          • Weapon skins only count for your own class’s weapons. A Gladiator’s bow skins add nothing to the bow track for that character.
          • How many points a skin gives depends on its grade. The game shows the table in the collection window (“Points Gained by Skin Grade”).

A few skins also carry stats of their own, PvP Damage Boost or PvP Damage Tolerance; their pages say which.

          Where skins come from

          • Item Extraction. Breaking down gear can give that gear’s skin: 10%, 20%, 25% or 100% depending on the piece (chances by grade). This is the steady, free source, and every skin page lists the gear that gives it.
          • The Random shop. The biggest single source: most skins turn up there.
          • Coin shops. The Daeva Pass shop and the Nightmare shop each sell skins for their own currency.
          • Boxes, Hidden Cubes and season rankings give the rest, along with one Conquest dungeon reward.
          • Skin combining. Feed in skins you don’t need and pay Kina; you get one random skin of the same grade, or sometimes of the next grade up.

          Item Extraction chances

Every piece of gear has one fixed chance to give its skin when you break it down. Its grade only decides which chances it can have: 20% or 25% for Common and Rare gear, 10% or 25% for Epic and Unique. The 100% pieces are all quest rewards. Binding a piece first does not change its chance, and a failed roll still uses the gear up. The table counts the pieces at each chance (a piece’s Elyos and Asmodian versions count once); each skin’s page names the exact pieces that give it.
